Auction of three mining blocks will be completed by May, informed Odisha Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick today.
These include two iron ore blocks-Netrabandh in Sundargarh district and Kalmunda in Keonjhar district and Garamura limestone block in Nuapara district, Mallick added.
Auctioning of six more mining blocks will be completed in 2017-18 financial year, the Minister stated.
With the decrease in demand for iron ore in the international market, revenue earnings from mining sector have dipped this year, he informed adding that Rs 4,500 crore has been earned as against a target of Rs 6,500.
