Vendors still have a chance to reserve a booth for this year’s Elko Mining Expo.
This is the second year the Elko Convention and Visitors Authority will use the Elko Conference Center for the show and all the indoor spaces are full, but there are a few outside spaces left, said ECVA Events Coordinator Kandiss Fallowfield.
The back parking lot and Elko Main City Park are available. Anyone who wants a booth can call Fallowfield at 738-4091.
Vendors will set up their booths from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 5-7. The opening reception on June 7 at the Red Lion Casino has a new sponsor this year – Shell Lubricants. Tickets for the reception are $35 and Fallowfield said there are a few left.
The Expo has many returning vendors and the businesses come from all over the United States and other countries, including Australia, Germany, New Zealand and Canada.
“The vendors are continually being creative with what they want to have in their booths,” Fallowfield said. “You know, different ways they can attract people to their spaces, so there’s going to be some fun things going on in people’s booths this year.”
